When did you first realize you wanted to become a Writer/author?
I’ve always enjoyed writing but it wasn’t till I’d been doing PR, PA and Beta work for a couple years that made me decide it was time for me to make my stories come to life for others. So I started writing with a purpose in 2014.
Where do you get your ideas for your book?
My ideas come from a little of everywhere. Dreams, shower, hell I never know when I’m going to need to jot notes down. I’m always carrying a notebook or my phone to get my notes. I do like to write what I call Real Life Romance. It’s a lot of touchy subjects that some people are afraid to touch.
What kind of things do you enjoy when not writing?
If I’m not writing, I’m playing with the kids or we’re watching movies. I love watching movies or just binging a new show, sometimes and oldie but always a goodie.
How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
5 released and 2 on pre-order, working on my 7th and 8th books. An Unexpected Love came out in 2015. Kentucky Blues, Stolen Moments and Winter Kisses were 2016. Vegas Lights, Spring Fling, and Hell In Heels plus 7 or 8 more are releasing this year.
Do you have any suggestions to help others who have a passion for writing?
Of course, I tell new Authors this all the time. “Never quit. If you dream it, you can do it. Some like to type while others like free hand. Pick which works for and put the pencil to the paper. See where it takes you and always remember this is your story. Nothing’s ever to hard.”
What do you think makes a great story?
Many things can make a great story. To Nicholas Sparks a great story is Love, Loss, Death, Happiness. To others it’s Paranormal creatures. Who am I to say what makes a great story. For me a great story needs make me feel everything the character is feeling. No matter what that may be.
Which Writer/Authors inspire you?
Oh, this one is always so hard to answer. I love and admire so many different Authors. Nicholas Sparks, A.M. Willard, S.I. Hayes, Alice Clayton, Christina Lauren, Jamie McGuire… I could go on and on for days.
What are you working on at the moment? (optional)
Right now I’m working on the second book in my Sex, Drugs, and Rock Romance; Hell In Heels.
What genre are your books?
I write a few different but it’s all Romance as of now. I’ve wrote Suspenseful Romance, Contemporary Romance, Rocker Romance, New Adult Ménage Romance and I’m also working on a Paranormal Romance.
What drew you to the genre you write?
Romance is one of my favorite genres to read but most of it is so fake. I wanted to make it real.
Which Actor/Actress would you like to see portraying the lead character from your most recent book? (any book you like)
In my County Fair Romance Series I could so see Chloe Grace Mortez and Dylan O’Brien playing the main two characters.
Do you write full-time or part-time?
I’m just about always writing so I’d have to say full time.
What is the hardest thing about writing?
Sexual scenes. I absolutely loathe them. I mean there is nothing real about making nor writing a sexual scene.
Any tips on how to get through the dreaded Writer’s block?
Music, Book hangover, Binge watch something mindless.
Do you read much, and if so who are your favorite Authors or genres?
With out repeating myself If a story can pull me in and make me feel what the characters are feeling I will love the book.
